Corporate black with silver or chrome trim is quickly becoming a trend for many laptops, however the Gateway NV7915u sets itself apart from the rest by having a fine honeycomb imprint pattern on the cover and a power button on the side of the right hinge. This results in a nice understated design for such an affordable laptop. Build quality is good and solid with a thinner than average side profile. Performance-wise the Gateway NV7915u delivers enough power to handle any office application, surf the Internet and do some light gaming. While the Intel GMA HD graphics can handle smooth HD video, you are limited to casual gaming at best as 3D first person shooters are definitely out of the question. The laptop is more portable than most desktop replacement units though and comes with a two hour and 35 minute battery life on a single charge, which is just enough for most presentations or watching a full-length movie while on the go.
